What Sets Us Apart
Vital-link is one of the nations largest independent emergency response
companies. We are a family owned business that has faithfully
served the senior community for over 25 years. When you call
us, you will be talking to a a real person, not to someone's voicemail.
Our executive director, Arthur Hoffman, is readily available to
answer your questions and handle your concerns. You will not
be transferred from department to department. You will get
answers to your questions promptly.
Monitoring Center
Our UL listed Monitoring Center is designated with the highest
Five Diamond Certification.
Only 2% of all Central Stations have achieved this certification.
The Central Station Alarm Association's "Five Diamond
100% Operator Certified Central Station" designation
is granted to those central stations who:
Companies achieving, and maintaining, their Five Diamond Certification" are committed
to serving the public and the Authorities Having Jurisdiction through
the professional development and standardization of training
for all their central station operators.
This certification, and its annual renewal, demonstrate a proficiency
by the staff of the Five Diamond Central Station to the continual upgrade
in the performance levels of central station operators
who are the first line of defense in emergency response in the private
sector.

The Alarm Center
The Communication Center is a secured facility guarded by
electronic locks and monitored by a closed circuit television system that meets
both national fire code and U.L. standards.
The monitoring center is a self-powered facility. In the event of commercial
power failure from city electrical services, our dual uninterrupted power supply
(UPS) system sustains electrical supply to our center for a minimum of four hours
which is a (U.L.) requirement. In addition to the (UPS) system, diesel generators
automatically power the center to full capacity. The UPS units continuously supply
power to our computer, phone, and radio systems along with the communications
center itself.
On average our center answers alarm signals in 30 seconds or less from the time
the signal is received. This is faster than the U.L. required time of 60 seconds.
Fiber optic telephone lines are supplied in two separate paths from the phone
company to our building to prevent interruptions in service.
